Global Volunteer NetworkGlobal Volunteer Network (GVN)
New Zealand based Global Volunteer Network connects people with communities in need, with a particular focus on vulnerable women and children. It does this by supporting the work of local community organizations in countries all over the world, by helping to place volunteers.

In addition to providing affordable volunteer opportunities all over the world as well as in Peru, GVN leads a trek on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to raise money for Peruvian Hearts. Click here to learn more about how you can hike for Peruvian Hearts in 2013!

Global Volunteer Network FoundationGlobal Volunteer Network Foundation (GVNF)
The GVN Foundation's vision is to support the work of charitable organizations around the world that assist children, women, and the environment. Currently, GVNF’s focus is working to end child poverty around the world. In July 2009 the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) granted special consultative status to the GVN Foundation.

Peruvian Hearts loves Rotary International and has teamed up with several Rotary clubs around Colorado as well as in Peru in an effort to improve the lives of children in Peru. We are always looking for new clubs to partner with to help us accomplish our humanitarian work in Peru. Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. The motto of Rotary is service above self and Rotarians all around the world look to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.     Collette Foundation is focused on improving the quality of life of children in their partner communities worldwide. Collette Foundation’s partnership with Peruvian Hearts has truly helped to better the lives of children in Peru. The Foundation’s parent organization, Collette Vacations, gives people the opportunity to travel to Peru and get a first-hand look at Peruvian Hearts project sites.

    Eat So They CanEat So They Can
    Eat So They Can (ESTC) is a worldwide event where people all around the globe host dinner parties and participate in what is collectively one huge dinner party. Something as simple as sharing a meal with friends can help combat and end global poverty.

    Started by Global Volunteer Network Foundation (GVNF) in 2007, ESTC coincides with World Food Day in the middle of October and raises awareness about global poverty and hunger. People around the world host a variety of gatherings and parties to help raise funds that directly benefit the partner nonprofit organizations of GVNF. When you sign up to host an event, be sure to specify that you would like to direct your funds to benefit Peruvian Hearts!

    Peru Health Outreach ProjectPeru Health Outreach Project (PHOP) – Cleveland Clinic
    The Peru Health Project, formerly the Lamay Clinic Project, is a month-long medical rotation organized by medical students at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Other medical professionals have also joined in the effort and volunteer their time and services to improve the lives of the people in Peru.

    The project and partnership with Peruvian Hearts began in 2009 with the main goal to improve the lives of the people in Lamay and the surrounding mountain villages in the Sacred Valley, by providing them with basic medical care. It also provides an international experience for students and health care professionals interested in global healthcare.

    La Quinta Eco HotelLa Quinta EcoHotel
    La Quinta Eco Hotel is located in Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of Peru, centrally located between Cusco, the Hogar and Machu Picchu. The hotel is owned and run by Peruvian Hearts board member, Edwin Gonzalez. This one-of-a-kind 100% ecological hotel offers Peruvian Hearts’ friends and volunteers a discounted rate and the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful stay at this tranquil paradise.

    Smart-GirlSmart-Girl
    Smart-Girl is a prevention and enrichment program designed to engage girls in activities that develop their social-emotional skills. Smart-Girl gives girls the chance to think about and discuss the challenges they encounter and to formulate and practice appropriate and productive responses. Through this process, Smart-Girl nurtures girls’ social-emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills – qualities proven to lead to success in life. Peruvian Hearts uses many of the Smart-Girl activities in Peruvian Promise to enable girls in Peru to gain these important life skills.

    BenefeastBenefeast
    Benefeast supports Peruvian Hearts and other organizations through public and privately organized eight-person dinners at restaurants where attendees donate $20 to a nonprofit organization of their choice. Benefeast or hosts select the attendees, and these dinners serve as an avenue to meet new ethically-minded people. The small-group setting is purposeful, allowing individuals to meet multiple people, but also have meaningful conversations.

    The Ruby at Crested ButteThe Ruby at Crested Butte
    The Ruby at Crested Butte contributes a percentage of their profits to charitable organizations and has supported Peruvian Hearts for several years. The Ruby is the premier Crested Butte bed and breakfast inn for the discerning visitor seeking gracious hospitality, abundant amenities, and a unique destination where affordable luxury and environmental responsibility come together to create an exceptional experience.

    Biology Without BordersBiology Without Borders
    Biology Without Borders is a student-run organization, which leads students on an annual global volunteer trip and connects them with resources while also making them advocates for global and social change. Their goal is to promote ethical volunteerism and community-based and sustainable projects in underserved areas, both locally and globally. The group has made Peruvian Hearts project sites a regular part of their global volunteer work.

    The Ties ProgramThe Ties Program - Peru
    The Ties Program is in part responsible for the inception of Peruvian Hearts because it was the homeland trip that Ana took with The Ties Program that inspired her to return to the U.S. and find a way to help the children of Peru. The Ties Program leads trips all around the world providing adopted children with the opportunity to visit their birth country as part of a nurturing, child centered, "adoption aware" trip.

    The Joseph Korbel School of International Studies University of DenverJoseph Korbel School of International Studies – University of Denver
    The Joseph Korbel School teaches values that reflect the University of Denver's broader commitment to internationalization and putting scholarship into practice for the global public good. The Korbel school trains practical idealists who live their values in their actions. Peruvian Hearts has teamed up with the Korbel School to offer internship opportunities to graduate students looking for practical international non-profit experience.
